[the following text is a modified version of my first post to this blog]

Hello and welcome to my blog – a hearty welcome to you! I had originally intended for this to be a place for me to post stuff more along the lines of a journal. So, I was not going to make this site public. However, as it turns out, most of the stuff being posted in here is not very personal and even the stuff that is I am okay with anybody I know seeing. I want people to know what is truly important to me as I hope it may inspire, challenge, and encourage them to some extent. So that is why it is now linked to my facebook page, so whoever is on there may stumble over here.

I wanted to pursue a blog or online means of posting things as it organizes easier and it is a great encouragement to read later on. I had an old xanga page way back in the day, and it chronicled for the most part my spiritual journey while I was in high school. I recently went back there and was encouraged and challenged by what I saw and wanted to start a new record of more thoughts, struggles, and findings. So, I made this blog and hope to continue to keep it updated from time to time.

So, henceforth may this blog be posted in with updates, thoughts, quotes or just whatever with the hopes that most of it will tell of the surpassing greatness of knowing the awesome creator God through means of his Son, Jesus Christ. That is what the title is about, a response to the resplendence or glory of God, and what that means for me. May this blog, like my life, make much of God and bring him immense glory as he is supremely worthy!

Just FYI: This blog is updated by a 24 year old seminary student who one day hopes to be a church planter. So, as such, please don’t look on anything here as inerrant doctrine. It is merely my strivings to allow the Spirit to reveal truth to me and articulate to me things that have been laid on my heart. Also, I include little prayers a lot first because prayer is powerful and also because they help me articulate that everything related to understanding is a gracious blessing from the Lord. So, I feel a prayer with requests is the best possible means to show that. May God bless you all.

Edit: I’ve recently been using this page just to post poetry. Apparently there was a sleeping devil, or perhaps better, a sleeping minstrel hiding within me. I hope you enjoy these poems as much I enjoy writing them. They really help me come to terms with what God is doing in this world, or at least what he is doing in these bones of mine. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
